Centralia Veterinarian
Located in Centralia, Cascade West Veterinary Hospital proudly serves the greater Lewis County and Thurston County area. With over 80 years of dedicated service, we provide comprehensive veterinary care for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, livestock, rabbits, pocket pets, and poultry.
As one of the few equine reproduction vets in the region, we are committed to supporting local farmers, ranchers, and animal owners. We also take pride in our active involvement with 4H, FFA, and other youth programs, helping to foster the next generation of animal caregivers in Lewis County.
With a skilled team, state-of-the-art equipment, and a passion for exceptional care, we are dedicated to meeting the needs of our clients and their animals while strengthening the human-animal bond. At Cascade West Veterinary Hospital, compassionate, high-quality veterinary care is our top priority.
Regular wellness exams allow us to catch underlying health problems early, provide consistent preventative care, and support your pet’s overall health and well-being.
Our veterinarians are skilled in diagnosing common problems that affect our pets like vomiting, itching, lumps, limping, and more.
Vaccines are essential for preventive care and can increase the chances of a longer, happier life for pets. Ensuring that pets are consistently up to date with their vaccinations can help prevent contracting disease or help lessen the severity of symptoms if a disease is contracted.
It's hard to provide care without knowing the root of what is ailing your pet, which is why diagnostic testing is so important. Diagnostic testing can include laboratory testing (blood, urine, and fecal) and diagnostic imaging like X–rays, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
Unless you intend to breed, we recommend having pets spayed or neutered. Pets that have been spayed or neutered tend to live longer and have healthier lives.
Another key component of helping to maintain your pet’s health and happiness is having them on reliable, consistent heartworm preventative.
Heartworm disease is serious and potentially fatal to our dogs and cats. Heartworms are spread by mosquito bites and can grow up to a foot long, living in the heart and lungs of our beloved pets.
Fleas can cause itchy skin, skin infections, and spread tapeworms. Ticks can carry disease such as Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis, and more.
We will be by your side during this time of need to offer both medical assistance and emotional support.
The occasional taps, scrapes, and scratches that happen when playing with your pet means it's time for a trip to your local veterinarian or boarding facility! Trimming your pet's nails is a healthy part of their life, and can lead to greater comfort in everyday activity.
Large animal veterinary care encompasses advanced medical, reproductive, and routine wellness services for equine and livestock animals. Our highly experienced clinicians provide personalized, species-specific care using state-of-the-art medical technologies to meet the needs of you and your large animals.
Our equine companions and competitors benefit from the same Wellness and Specialty Care that has become standard for their small animal counterparts. A strong partnership with your veterinarian is important to support your horse throughout its life and is vital in emergency situations.
Whether your horse regularly competes or is a cherished family companion, our equine teams provide personalized equine care, specifically tailored to meet the needs of your horse through all stages of their life.
